Heart disease is the #1 killer of both men and women in the U.S. Nearly 31% of all deaths in Harrisonburg/Rockingham County are related to cardiovascular disease and stroke according to the Virginia Department of Health. That’s why access to a wide range of heart services right here in our community is so important to all of us.

Cardiac services at Rockingham Memorial Hospital are designed to address conditions of the heart across a continuum. At one end, we assist individuals with healthy hearts, and our primary focus is wellness and prevention of disease. At the other end are patients with severe, possibly life threatening, conditions of the heart. The focus with these patients is intervention, or treatment of the heart problem, and ongoing care. Along this continuum, RMH offers an array of heart services consisting of inpatient critical care, inpatient heart monitoring services, inpatient and outpatient diagnostic procedures, emergency care, education, risk factor screening and rehabilitation.
